What has two thumbs and the most amazing wife? This guy! Jenn has been working full bore on Auntie Em's baby shower and today was the day. It was a full-fledged Beatrix Potter/British Tea Party. The food, games, and presentation were 5-Star all the way, and the reviews from the guests were nothing short of spectacular. It was a lot of prep work, and a lot of clean-up, but wow! What a party!
It was amazing!! Thank you Jenn for all of your hard, hard work. Every detail, every decoration, every bite of food (and I tried everything) . . . was perfect! Great pictures too! Thank you, thank you!!
It truly was PERFECT! That girl is gifted. If she ever gets tired of animals, she could have a second career in party planning! 5 starts for sure. Thanks for hosting such a lovely and special occassion!
Most of you know me, but for those new to the Gates Blog, I'm a happy husband to Jenn and a happy father to Lincoln and Lydia. Our third child, Henry, is in Henan province in China as you read this. Our dossier has been submitted, and we're waiting for the word to travel.
We've got two fun dogs, Betty and Gretel. We enjoy spending time with our families, and we're blessed to have families that we enjoy! We have some great friends at church that are fun to be with. We each enjoy American history, though different eras pique our interest. And if you didn't already know, we're both Veterinarians.
Come back often to stay in the loop about what's going on in the Gates Home. Occasionally Jenn will write, but for the most part, this ought to be read in the voice of Ryan. Jenn especially likes to hear from our readers, so feel free to leave comments and messages.
